Graveside service for Darrel Leon Earls, age 72, of Danville, will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Bald Knob Cemetery with Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Earls, who died Monday, August 14, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born January 30, 1952, in Alabama to D. B. Earls and Verna Sellers Earls. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sherman Earls, Earnie Earls, and David Earls; and grandchild, Austin Hagood. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Enon Baptist Church, and an over-the-road truck driver. Darrel loved his family and was a proud great-grandpaw to Preslee; He also loved his bassett hounds, Amy and Bats.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Jan Sterling Earls; son, Scott Earls; daughter, Stacy Hagood (Jonathan); grandchild, Landon Hagood (Madi); and great-grandchild, Preslee Hagood.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
