Cynthia Diane "Cindy" (Burnham) Petty

Cynthia Diane "Cindy" Burnham Petty, age 54, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at her residence.  Her family may host a celebration of life at a later date.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Ms. Petty was born December 3, 1971, in Alabama to Frankie Dave Burnham and Barbara Ellen Hill Burnham.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Terrye Denise Burnham.  She loved her family, especially her daughter, Christina Petty, in whom she took great pride.  She spent the past 10 years with the love of her life, Edwin Kirby.  She will be missed by her nieces, Allysa Motley (Anthony) and Mariah Hensley (Brad), and her nephews, Wesley Sutton (Maeghan), Austin Sutton, and Trysun Burnham.  She was beloved by her cousins, friends, and family.  She found great joy in animals, especially her many dogs.  Cindy loved growing flowers, at which she excelled.  Cindy's love for Edwin, her daughter, Christina, and her animals was evident in everything she did.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Petty (Kaylee Hill); father, Frankie Burnham (Joyce Tucker); mother, Barbara Hill Burnham; brother, Frankie Burnham, Jr.; fiance, Edwin Kirby; and her aforementioned nephews and nieces.
