Corine (Owens) Cahela

Funeral service for Corine (Owens) Cahela, age 87, of Moulton, will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with David Barker officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Moulton City Cemetery.  There will be no graveside service.  

Mrs. Cahela, who died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at NHC Healthcare was born April 13, 1938, in Alabama to Marvin "Shiney" Owens and Cora Gray Owens.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Cahela; daughter, Janet Cahela; and her parents.  Corine loved to travel and garden, and thoroughly enjoyed her flowers.  She was a member of The Church Christ and faithfully worshipped at Midway Church of Christ, until her health failed.

She is survived by her daughter, Melonee Wilkerson (Tom); two brothers, Alfred Owens (Diane) and Don Owens (Brenda); three sisters, Nell Thrasher, Annie Bullard, and Vicky Maxwell (Danny); grandchild, A. J. Wilkerson (Danielle); and two great-grandchildren, Seth Wilkerson and Neil Wilkerson.
