Claudia Hayes Obituary

Decatur - A private burial will be held for Claudia C. Hayes, 80, of Decatur at New Friendship Cemetery with Parkway Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hayes, who died Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, August 13, 1940. She was a faithful and active member of Vestavia Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Testing Incorporated and was currently working at Dairy Queen in Priceville. She was known for her beautiful personality and straight forward talk. A loving wife, mother and grandmother who always took care of others before herself. She was an example of a true Christian woman with the most tender heart. Her family, church and community will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother - Flora Mae White and grandson Heath Lansdell.
Survivors include:
Her husband of 62 years - Wendell Ray Hayes
Daughter - Dawn (Alan) Lansdell
Son - Jonathan (Tammy) Hayes
Sister - Laura Ann Louallen
Grandson - Dalton Lansdell
The family plans to have a public service in the future.
