Christine (Cottingham) Whitlock

Funeral service for Christine (Cottingham) Whitlock, age 85, of Lexington, will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mrs. Whitlock, who died Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence, was born March 24, 1941, in Alabama to Foster Jefferson Cottingham and Etta Jane Aldridge Cottingham.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Whitlock; son, Larry Whitlock; parents; five brothers; and five sisters.  

She is survived by her son, Scott Whitlock (William Capps); daughters, Shelia Betts (Haven) and Tenia Bunch (Danny); sister, Patsy Blevins; seven grandchildren, Bridjette Powers (Perry), Kellie Black (Heath), Erick Ray, Dustin Whitlock, Christin Castille (Blake), Heather Forsythe, and Aaron Mitchell (Mallory); 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Erick Ray, Aaron Mitchell, Perry Powers, Brandon Powers, Bradley Powers, and Tommy Bell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Will Powers and Hudson Black.
