Cheryl Ann Young

Cheryl Ann (Brown) Young, age 64, of Moulton, died Monday, February 16, 2026, at her residence.  Her family will host a Celebration of Life on March 14, 2026.  Please contact Shana McGuire (251-550-8838) for information.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  

Mrs. Young was born September 2, 1961, in Ohio to Clayton Brown and Lois Hall Brown.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Young; parents; brother, Buford "Bud" Brown; and granddaughter, Joanna McGuire.  Cheryl was a very loving, caring person.  She was a respiratory therapist, dedicating her life to helping others.  She loved her grandchildren, always a protector.  Cheryl was a wonderful sister, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend, as well as a proud American patriot.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting everyone around her.

She is survived by her son, Justin Somers; daughter, Shana McGuire; brother, Daryl Brown; sister, Susan Miller (Ray); and grandchildren, Austin Greene and Sophia McGuire.
