Charles Edward "Chuck" Murphree

Funeral for Charles Edward Murphree, age 81, of Trinity will be Monday, October 2, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Baldwin officiating. The burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 2:00 followed by the memorial service at 3:00 at Parkway Funeral Home.

Mr. Murphree, who died Friday, September 29, 2023, at his residence, was born November 12, 1941, to Bill and Pauline Murphree. He was saved and baptized at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Lawrence County, Alabama. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Alumax after which he owned and operated Murphree Oak Furniture. He enjoyed many years of retirement in Gulf Shores with his wife and son, Anthony. He enjoyed tending his flowers and garden, fishing, birdwatching, socializing, and seeing the sights of Gulf Shores. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faye Murphree; a sister, Marie Potter; and two brothers, James and Jerry Murphree.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Murphree and Anthony Murphree; two daughters, Leah Hembree (Jeff) and Michelle Eddy (Terry); one brother, Dwight Murphree; one sister, Sue Nelson (Tommy); 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jake Hembree, Wesley Hembree, Lucas Horton, Jonathan Murphree, Riley Murphree, Russ Murphree, and Jonathan Pool.
