Charis Gwyne (Randolph) Gillespie

Funeral service for Charis Gwyne (Randolph) Gillespie, age 82, of Hillsboro, will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Gillespie officiating.  Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gillespie, who died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 14, 1941, in Alabama to Cecil Randolph and Beatrice Warren Randolph..  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Flavious Randolph; and sister, Cheetah Gail Miller.  Mrs. Gillespie attended Enon Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Gillespie; daughter, Heather Strickland (Joshua); brother, Terrell Randolph; sister-in-law, Joyce Randolph; and two grandchildren, Casey Gillespie and Victoria Gillespie. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
