Catherine Fay (Dotson) Looney

Funeral service for Catherine Fay (Dotson) Looney, age 74, of Haleyville will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Little and Brian White officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Heflin Cemetery, Moulton.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Ms. Looney, who died Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Haleyville, AL was born February 18, 1951, in Alabama to Herbert Grady Dotson and Ruby Reeves Dotson.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Denise Looney Weaver; parents; and two brothers, Herbert Don Dotson and Bruce Dotson.  Ms. Looney was a member of Flower Hill Baptist Church.  She had a love of plants and gardening.  Another hobby was cooking, especially at holidays.  Her baked goods were well known by many.

She is survived by five sisters, Carolyn Jane Dotson Phillips, Patricia (Dotson) Jacob-Hopkins (Reed "Denny"), Julia Sue (Dotson) Sheets, Brenda Gail (Dotson) Houser (Kelvin), and Melinda J. (Dotson) McCartan; five grandchildren, Braedon C. Weaver (Lindsay), Brianna Baker-Hopkins (fiancé, Joseph Sheehan), Samantha Leigh Carpenter, Christopher Aaron Seals (Julie Ann), and Joshua Shane Seals (Lisa Renee); and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
