Mrs. Carolyn Lee "Carol" (Masker) Smith, age 78, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her residence. Her family may host a celebration of life at a later date. Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Carol was born May 22, 1945, in Iowa to Max Lee Masker and Irene Ella Safely Masker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin "Frank" Smith, and her parents. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her leisure time was spent quilting, sewing, and machine embroidering. She retired from accounting for Goss Electric.

She is survived by two sons, Robert F. Smith and Thomas E. Smith; one daughter, Barbara Ann Brooks; five grandchildren, Bryan A. Brooks, Katlin A. Colacchio, Isabelle C. Smith, Amanda K. Smith, and Thomas E. Talley; and three great-grandchildren.
