Brenda Gail (Sherrill) Hagood

Funeral service for Brenda Gail (Sherrill) Hagood, age 73, of Hillsboro, will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Festus Grissom and Rev. Jackie Hill officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.  

Mrs. Hagood, who died Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at UAB was born July 28, 1952, in Alabama to Lawrence Sherrill and Ruby Woods Sherrill.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Gathel Hagood; son, Stacy Hagood; daughter, Christy Hagood; brother, Jackie Sherrill; four sisters, Linda Davis, Diane Allen, Jeanette Oliver, and Sherlene Smith; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Greg Davis, Jonathon Davis, Jason Terry, Jody Hill, Jeremy Terry, and Steve Davis.
