Bonnie Sue (Kilpatrick) Reeves

Funeral service for Bonnie Sue Kilpatrick Reeves, age 66, of Athens, will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Jennifer Cartwright officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Reeves, who died Friday, March 13, 2026, at her residence, was born June 1, 1959, in Alabama to J. H. Kilpatrick and Velma Lee Reeves.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Reeves; son, John Reeves; daughter, Donna Abbott (Chris); parents;  and brothers, Ronnie Kilpatrick and Donnie Kilpatrick.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her leisure time was enjoyed quilting and traveling to the mountains.

She is survived by two daughters, Susie Emerson (Doug) and Kristy McCune (Sydney); two brothers, Tim Kilpatrick and Johnny Kilpatrick (Debbie); sister, Bobbie Fistoe; eight grandchildren, Dakoda Emerson, Alyssa Emerson, Kali Denton (Chris), Mary Horton (Brady), Jonathon Reeves (Abby), Katie Reeves (Daiton Ortiz), Grayson Emerson, and Hope-Grace Emerson; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Horton and Everly Horton.
