Bobbie Jean Jones Obituary

Bobbie Jean Jones, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the same love and music that she shared throughout her life. Born on June 22, 1946, in Richmond, California, Bobbie Jean was a beacon of light and warmth whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Bobbie Jean was the daughter of Ollis Logan and Mary Hamilton Logan, who preceded her in death, as did her brother-in-law, Conrey Jones. She is survived by her adoring husband of 50 years, Clyde Waymon Jones. Their marriage, which began on March 5, 1976, was a testament to enduring love, a relationship filled with devotion and stories that will be shared for generations to come. Together, they built a family grounded in love and faith, blessed with two daughters, Dana Farmer (Blake) and Laura-Marie Smith (Davey), who carry forward her deep love of family, faith and music.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah Smith, who will forever remember their MeMe’s warm embraces, wise words, and infectious laughter. Her fur grandbaby, Daisy Pearl, brought her immense joy and companionship.

Bobbie Jean's life was an example of service and dedication. She spent many years nurturing young minds as a music teacher and substitute teacher, sharing her passion for music and instilling a love for learning in every student she encountered. Her career was not just a profession but a calling, one where she left an indelible mark on countless lives.

Her faith played a central role in her life. A member of Calvary Assembly of God and Trinity Baptist, Bobbie Jean's voice was a cherished part of the church choir. She loved singing about her Jesus and found immense joy in lifting her voice with the choir and her beloved daughters. Her passion for music was matched only by her sharp wit and signature sassiness, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met.

Bobbie Jean's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her sisters Margaret Stone, Marilyn Pinkston (David), sisters-in-law, Joan Jones and Linda Jones, and brother-in-law, Buddy Jones. Her nephews, Jason Jones (Nikki), Grant Pinkston (Carlene), Edward Pinkston (Shawna), and Nicolas Swader (Katelyn), along with many great-nieces and -nephews, were an extension of her family circle, all of whom she held close to her heart. She leaves behind numerous friends who she loved so much that they are considered family.

In her final moments, Bobbie Jean was comforted by the music she loved and the knowledge that she was deeply cherished. Her life was a melody of love, laughter, and faith that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

A celebration of Bobbie Jean's life will be held to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in remembering a life well-lived and a soul that touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Fire Department in Trinity, Alabama.

Celebration of Life will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Trinity, AL on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with service beginning at 4:00 p.m. An additional celebration will take place in Gainesville, GA at a later date.
