Betty Sue Pitts Obituary

Ms. Betty Sue (Hamilton) Pitts, age 73, of Town Creek died Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her residence. Her family may host a celebration of life at a later date. Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ms. Pitts was born September 19, 1950, in Alabama to Clarence Hamilton and Esther Blackman Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her son, John Wayne Pitts, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Sue Stewart; parents; two brothers, O. D. Hamilton and Donnie Hamilton; two sisters, Carolyn Cole and Bertha Grant; and one grandchild, Johnathan Campbell.

She is survived by her special niece, Nancy Murphree; daughter-in-law, Angie Pitts; brother-in-law, Harold "Curly" Cole; six grandchildren, Betty Nicole "Nicki" Pitts, Summer Brewer, Paige Davis, Brittany Dover, Kasi Callahan, and Justin Pitts; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The family would like to express their gratitude to hospice nurse Jenny Dotson for her compassionate care of Ms. Pitts. Also special thanks to her special friends, Cindy Alexander, Kayla Brewer, and Tony Cole.
