Betty Margaret (Waits) Allen

Funeral service for Betty Margaret Waits Allen, age 68, of Decatur, will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Crumpton officiating.  Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Allen, who died Monday, April 28, 2025, at her residence, was born February 11, 1957, in Alabama to James Anderson Waits and Lennie Elsie Lackey Waits.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Allen, and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Tony Allen and Ronald Allen (Amy); two daughters, Freda Allen and Dejena Jackson (Steve); sister, Polly Nelson (J.P.); five grandchildren, Chase Motes, Sonja Motes, Matthew Allen, Jaylee Allen, and Italee Allen; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Motes, Elijah Motes, and Jeremiah Motes; and eagerly awaiting the arrival of great-grandchild, Talia Kay Allen.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of North Alabama, especially caregiver Polly Overdear, for their compassionate care of Mrs. Allen and concern for her family.
