Betty was born August 9, 1934, and passed away peacefully at her home on June 4, 2025. She was blessed with 90 years of living and loving. Betty was the glue of her family and her family was the joy of her life. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Married on June 23, 1956, to the late Amon McLemore, she and Amon worked hard for 64 years together to build a life and legacy they were proud of.
Betty was a longtime faithful member of Berea Baptist Church where she found great joy in serving her Lord and her community, and leading each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren closer to a relationship with Christ. She especially enjoyed serving during Vacation Bible School each summer.
Betty sincerely loved seeing each member of her family, whom she deeply cherished, grow and carry on all she taught them through her examples of heartfelt sacrifice, hard work, devoted faith, and unconditional love for her family and her faith in God.
