Funeral for Bertha Britnell, 91, of Mt. Hope will be Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Mt. Hope Baptist Church, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joshua McGuire officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Mrs. Britnell, who died Monday, June 15, 2020, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, June 28, 1928, to Charlie Posey and Cora Lambert Posey. She was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church .
She was preceded in death by her husband - Clyde Britnell and son - Kenneth Britnell
Survivors include:
Daughters - Avoyn Sims, Linda (Lakin) Cross, Cathy Daniel
Son - Joe (Martha) Britnell
Daughter-in-law - Paula Britnell
Sister - Johnnie Dowler
Brother - James (Martha) Posey
Grandchildren - Wayne (Bobbie) Sims, Patrick (Angela) Sims, Ronnie (Jill) Cross, Lacy (Treva) Cross, Adam Daniel, Eric (Tasha) Daniel, Allan (Leslie) Britnell, Kenley (Kelly) Britnell, Amanda (Jason) Kennamer, Jessica (Mark) Latham
19 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
