Arnold Leroy "Arnie" Lewis

Funeral service for Arnold Leroy "Arnie" Lewis, age 93, of Trinity will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  

Mr. Lewis, who died January 4, 2025, at his residence, was born February 28, 1931, in Washington to Goldburn Lewis and Effie Viola Uricht Lewis.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandchild, Aaron Pullum.  Arnie was a devoted husband and father.  He traveled to Russia to build factories.  He graduated from Portland State University in Portland, OR.  He loved to build and remodel, and had a special interest in history, especially wars.  He was born during the great depression and lost his father at an early age, and had to help his brothers work to support their family.  He was the father of five, grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 27, and great-great-grandfather of 16.  He loved telling stories of his travels and work across the United States and Russia.  He loved antiques and he collected model cars and boats. Arnie was a kind and knowledgeable man.  He enjoyed working and continued to work remodeling up until the time of his death.  He especially enjoyed telling his grandkids of how he met their grandma.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla Heflin Lewis; four sons, Scott Lewis, Lamar Pullum, Anthony Pullum, and Byron Pullum (Ennette); daughter, Cathy Wood; grandchildren, Nathan Pullum, Jenny Pullum, Noah Pullum, Lyndsy Varnado, Samantha McDonald, Dan Wood, Jr., Rodger Pullum, Matthew Pullum, Elijah Pullum, Josiah Pullum, Issiah Pullum, and Bethany Pullum; 27 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dave Suski, Lamar Pullum, Tony Pullum, Byron Pullum, Danny Wood, Jr., Nathan Pullum, Elijah Pullum, and Josiah Pullum.
