Trinity - Graveside service for Alton Way, 82, of Trinity will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Enon Cemetery, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Windell Callahan officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Mr. Way, who died Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, May 30, 1939, to Harry Bruce Way and Minnie Ola McCaghren Way. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and helped in the construction of the building. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Betty Kirby Way, sons - Dalton Wayne Way, Michael Dale Logan, Mickey Darryl Logan Brothers - Carlton Bruce Way, John Willard Way, Reuel Gene Way, Donald Wayne Way Sister - Gladys Lorene Archer Survivors include: Sons - Billy Ray (Judy) McDonald, James Norman (Doris Sapp) Way, Gene (Darren Garrison) Way Daughters - Kelli (DeShannon) Bowling, Genise Way Brother - Dennis Howell (Billie) Way Sister - Annie Marie Anderson Sister-in-laws - Nettie Archer Way, Melba Burks Way, Carolyn Jones Way Hill Grandson - Peter Way and another 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
