Alice Faye (Sawyer) Cottingham

Graveside service for Alice Faye Cottingham, age 78, of Trinity will be Sunday, November 13, 2022, 2:30 p.m. at Midway Memorial Gardens with Tim Sawyer and Rod Sawyer officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cottingham, who died Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was born December 12, 1943, to Travis and Mattie Sawyer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Ray Cottingham; daughter, Becky Ellis; four brothers, Clem Sawyer, Jim Sawyer, Bollie Sawyer, and Bill Sawyer; and two sisters, Lou Lane and Louvene Hobbs.

She is survived by two sons, Marlon Cottingham (Lea) and Stevie Ray Cottingham (BonaFaye); two daughters, Jackaline Faye Bowman and Amanda Harris (Marty); one brother, Don Sawyer; one sister, Sandra Dewberry; six grandchildren, Tessa Filyaw (David), Megan Dodson (Walker), Dustin Bowman, Hollee Honaker (Caleb), Will Cottingham (Courtney), and Molly Terry (Cameron); honorary granddaughter, Amie Hankins; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Milford Knight, Scotty Keenum, Todd Grimes, Walker Dodson, Butch Spears, and Josh Souders.
