Richard William Starbuck, age 53 left this earth and stepped into heaven on January 30th, 2018.  He was a beautiful man, body and soul.  He loved beautiful creations of God and man.  His hobby was capturing these scenes through his photography.  His work was creating beauty through his artisan skills in tile and marble.  Music gave him joy.  He fought a valiant battle to stay with those he loved and they fought to hold him here.  If love could have healed him, he would have won.
Left to mourn are his soul-mate, love of his life and his "Babe", Melanie McKee Starbuck; his children, Brian and Michael Starbuck and Krystal (Matt) Rios; his grandsons Kaiden and Carter Starbuck and Edmund Rios; his mother Peggy McCaskill; His sisters Sherry Meeks, Kathy (Phillip) Munoz, Becky (Brent) Davenport, Jody (David) Jackson and Kelley Lloyd; many beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.  He had many friends who loved him as a brother and will mourn along with his family.  He also leaves behind his precious dogs, Pirate, Ricky Billy and Lobowski. 
The funeral will be at Parkway Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 pm with the visitation before at 1:00 pm.  Jason Reeves will speak.  In lieu of flowers the family requests dontaions be made to Rescue Rangers 1210 15th Av. S.E. in Decatur.
